The last Citadel grad who was in the Senate was a shit bag.Ibanez wrote:Hmm. How much of a tea party extremist is this guy? I voted against Graham and Scott but I'm sure they've beat any runoff challengers. Tis a shame. The Senate could have used a Citadel alum.
What a shock.CitadelGrad wrote:The last Citadel grad who was in the Senate was a shit bag.Ibanez wrote:Hmm. How much of a tea party extremist is this guy? I voted against Graham and Scott but I'm sure they've beat any runoff challengers. Tis a shame. The Senate could have used a Citadel alum.

Why? Because he is a Democrat and not a bitter, hateful person like yourself?CitadelGrad wrote:The last Citadel grad who was in the Senate was a shit bag.Ibanez wrote:Hmm. Just love the disconnect of a tea party academicJohnStOnge wrote:Wow. Race has been called for Professor Brat over Eric Cantor in the primary.

Last non-Christian Republican member of the House defeated.
When Hollings left the governor's mansion in Columbia, before he was elected to the Senate, he cleaned the place out. The state police had to go to his new home with moving vans and a court order to get the stuff back.Ibanez wrote:Why? Proof that the brain turns to mush after even moderate exposure to MSNBC. This is the kind of raw sewage that tumbles from Wasserman-Schultz's mouth every day.Skjellyfetti wrote:Republicans slowly becoming more and more homogeneous.

So between 1963 and 1966? That's a hell of a time frame. There were 2 governors in those years.CitadelGrad wrote:When Hollings left the governor's mansion in Columbia, before he was elected to the Senate, he cleaned the place out. Besides, that's the story with every single governor, president, etc... It's mostly falsehoods spoken by partisan hacks that have nothing good to say about anyone that has a difference of opinion.
What's your point? I don't put much stock into gaffes or things like that. Politicians are humans, and with the amount of public speaking involved, slip ups are to be expected.CID1990 wrote:"There is no education in the second kick of a mule."Ibanez wrote:

Some more than others. I was on Sporcle the other day and it asked for the senators with the longest tenure in history. I think 18 of the top 25 were Dems.BDKJMU wrote:"Cantor, a former state legislator, was elected to Congress in 2000."
There is your problem in a nutshell right there. I will not vote for any Senator for re-election more than once, and any Congressman more than 3 times. Senators should serve no more than 12 years, House no more than 8. Then get the F out and go get a job in the real world..
We need term limits, and I imagine this might be one thing most conks and donks on here could agree on....
Oh the diversity of the left in office.Skjellyfetti wrote:Republicans slowly becoming more and more homogeneous.
