Didn't we have a President pretty much JUST LIKE THAT a short while back..?CID1990 wrote:I can't decide if that's funny or sad

And it's not as funny as it is sad and extremely difficult to watch

Seriously what? Sharpton is an irrelevant, senile race baiter. Bush was the "leader" of the free world for eight years.CID1990 wrote:come on manChizzang wrote:

seriously?
If you talk for long enough you will get caught in some gaffes. You can find a pile of them for Obama also, but it's really irrelevant. Sharpton is funny to me simply because he's always seemed like a caricature in real life.Grizalltheway wrote: Seriously what? Sharpton is an irrelevant, senile race baiter. If you insist...Grizalltheway wrote:Seriously what? Sharpton is an irrelevant, senile race baiter. Bush was the "leader" of the free world for eight years.CID1990 wrote:

Well actually, you and alphie are the ones who insist that making an ass of oneself on national TV is the exclusive domain of donks. In reality, both parties have more than their fair share of mental midgets and asshats who do it on a very regular basis.Baldy wrote:If you insist...Grizalltheway wrote:

Donks.
Sorry, I must be off on my comprehension hereChizzang wrote:So obviously the point that needed to be made was made...
1) Sharpton is a douche
2) Bush sounds like the idiot silver spoon son he is
3) and Obama is a twat
I think my work is done here

I could have sworn you were comparing GWB to Sharpton in terms of intelligence-
The difference between Sharpton and Bush (or Sharpton and Obama for that matter) in terms of intelligence is immeasurable.

I agree, there isn't a dime's worth of difference between them intelligence wise.CID1990 wrote:Sorry, I must be off on my comprehension hereChizzang wrote:So obviously the point that needed to be made was made...

I guess this is your disappointing rush limbaugh moment for me then, cleets- your view of how people sound being proportional to their intelligence is unexpectedChizzang wrote:CID1990 wrote:

Who knows the depths of these guys stupidity..?
I just wanted to make sure we hadn't forgotten that we had a PRESIDENT who sounded like a regular idiot
I'm sure all of that is true and I have no doubt you're quite intelligent CID. Except when you double down on defending Rush by defending Bush's intelligence.CID1990 wrote:I guess this is your disappointing rush limbaugh moment for me then, cleets- your view of how people sound being proportional to their intelligence is unexpectedChizzang wrote:

i sound a lot like GWB
raised on a farm in NC and I have a distinctly western NC accent
unlike many "educated" Southerners I am not ashamed of my accent or my local sayings, nor have I taken pains to hide them like a lot of people
and almost daily (at the State Department of course!) I am judged by pinstriped Ivy League colleagues because of my accent (which is fine by me)
I love to pull this one on them (pisses them off to no end) - at DoS, there are fad words and phrases that drift in and out of the common diplomatic lexicon. they will pop up in cables for a few months and then fall out of favor for some new and yet more obscure synonym that illustrates the author's finely tuned intellect. Sometimes these words will actually drift into spoken conversation and thats when i like to play Andy Griffith with these assholes-
Chizz-like political officer: the new Minister of Foreign Affairs is going to be good to work with; he's Harvard educated and pro-American, a pretty perspicacious guy.
Me: Yeah I heard he's a real smart fella in addition to that other stuff
rrrriiip
Having heard Bush speak on personal levels, I know for a fact that his folksy way of public speaking was affected. I would not have advised a president to do that, but they never asked me. But that kind of thing does drive the elitists absolutely batshit- thats why it is so much fun, at least for non presidents like me.
I just never figured you for one of those people Chizz
but if you ever want a job at the State Dept youll fit right in like a finely milled widget
