Palin continues to remain in the conk spotlight and it appears there are some real christians out there.
Faithful America, Christian Online Community, Launches Petition Against Sarah Palin Following Waterboarding Remark
by Antonia Blumberg

At the NRA's "Stand And Fight" rally on Saturday the former Alaska governor said, "Enemies, who would utterly annihilate America, they who'd obviously have information on plots, to carry out Jihad. Oh, but you can't offend them, can't make them feel uncomfortable, not even a smidgen. Well, if I were in charge, they would know that waterboarding is how we'd baptize terrorists."

Faithful America's petition has received nearly 45,000 signatures, according to their website -- far above the initial goal of 15,000.

The petition reads:

For Christians, torture is not a joke or a political punchline, but a ghastly reminder of the suffering of Jesus upon the cross. By equating it with Holy Baptism -- the act by which we are united with Christ in his death and resurrection -- Sarah Palin is blasphemously twisting our faith into a weapon of hatred and violence. No media outlet should cover her remarks without reporting on how sincere Christians of all theological and political persuasions are appalled.

Online Christians.

Their "campaign" page is a riot. Dozens and dozens of online petitions against everything from Palin to fracking to the Koch brothers to "marriage equality", and half of those campaigns are requesting the target to listen to Pope Francis.

I guess they didn't get the memo that the Pope is against gay marriage too.

Let me help you out here.

Palin's comments in front of the NRA, were not very christlike.

Now, carry on with your deflection.

Is Palin-Christian anything like Obama-Christian? :suspicious:

Obama is a Christian (or an undercover Muslin...take your pick). Wonder if there are any Christian petitions to get Obama to close Gitmo, to end the death penalty, to stop killing children with drones, to stop killing our people (and their people) for minerals/oil/big money interests in...oh, a half dozen countries around the world, to go after high ranking Wall Street people who are mistreating the poor (as Obama promised - he shall not lie,,,er, maybe he shall), or any of dozens of other un-Christian like (but very Muslin like) behaviors.

Nah...Huff-and puff-po has no interest in covering any of that. Nor do you.

Amazing.

I don't have time to be a journalist either. :coffee: But I've pointed out Obama's lack of Wall Street prosecution more than anyone on this board. When Obama's party wear's it's Christianity on its sleeve, I'll go after them too.

You put more time and effort on this site, and others, researching (or at least parroting) articles and putting out your opinion than most journalists spend on their own articles.

Dear Cluck,

I'm forced to get things right by reasonable and relatively open minded conservatives such as you and CID1990. It's something I enjoy.

If you could please refrain from mimicking right wing nut bags occasionally it would be extremely comforting and lead me to continue to have faith in a reasonable (again that word) conservative movement in this country.

I'm getting old and want to slide gracefully into conkitude, but the likes of JSO, BDK, T-Man, and Leadbolt are making it tough.

Can't you help a brother out? :puppy:

Aside from the fact that she's a bangable version of that Ann Coulter, I dont know why so many people pay so much attention to Sarah Palin. Especially people who
dont like her. wtf

It's rather pleasant...

...you eat more pie, drink more bourbon, spend more time with one-percenters, become shockingly proficient at concealing your assets, and blather to anyone within earshot that "...no one can match Sinatra."

I love retirement...you may disagree, but focus and clarity improves.

:grizo1:

When I was a kid, I was all gung-ho on shooting things up. I watched Vietnam live on TV and thought...why don't they nuke the whole effing place? Shirley, that would stop those red ant, pinko commies from digging their way to 'Merica.

Then I got educated. Several of my teachers were Vietnam vets...and the stories they told did not match what was officially being said on TV. Then I met some former CIA folks...and the stories got worse.

Central America, Vietnam, Africa, you name it...consistent propping up of business interests (oil companies, fruit companies <----- are you serious  ). What a waste of men and materials. :ohno:

Mind you, we should blast the hell out of anyone that directly screws with us. No mercy, just use any and all available firepower and turn them and their families into ashes.

But the wholesale use of young Americans to help a few well placed people make a few hundred million dollars, while spewing out lies about an ever lurking evil mass of enemies that was/is looking to burn down Main Street, U.S. of A. is an affront to anyone with any common sense. :ohno:

This World Police thing has got to stop. Not because we don't need oil, but because it is all a lie. There are enemies out there, for sure, but some damned goat herder who would couldn't pick out North America on a globe is not the person I lose sleep over (nor do I want to spend $70K to dispatch him with a Hellfire missile...save those things for members of Congress).

And immigrants? Love them. :thumb: Hell, I love Mexican food, Thai food, and Russian women who aren't even Russian. Bring 'em on in...legally...and make sure they have some talent and a good work ethic. Heavy on the talent part...that Russian stripper/gymnast was hot.

But, we also have a large number of people in this country that are parasites. And they aren't all poor. Unfortunately, our system of government is set up to serve both ends of that parasitic population. :ohno:

I'm a fiscal conservative because I don't want to cater to the lazy poor or to the conniving rich. On the social side of things, I don't give a crap about your personal life, and I don't give a crap about you wanting to be protected because you are of a certain "protected" class. It amazes me that people think a gay person's feelings or opportunities are hurt more than a skinny person's...or an ugly person's. :dunce:

If someone wants to fire you, or not hire you, then that is their business. Now, similar to Sterling, if people find out about that, then it will impact their business (for better or worse).

Be honest, make yourself useful to yourself and those around you, grow a thicker layer of skin, and pass the beer nuts. if you can do those things, you are OK by me.
