Ugh. This is another thing Obama's administration has been doing that pisses me off.

Yeah, schools don't handle sexual assault allegations that well. BECAUSE THEY'RE A FUCKING UNIVERSITY. They're not equipped to handle serious allegations like rape. That's what the courts are for.

It seems like some people think these sorts of crimes are best handled by universities - and not by court systems.

I saw this happen at Appalachian State. A couple of football players were accused of rape. The school didn't find enough evidence to kick them out of school. All hell broke lose... and after huge protests started by a facebook group... the players were eventually kicked out of school.

The DA never found enough evidence to press charges against them. Was there ever a single protest or uproar for the DA to press charges? No.

I don't know if the players committed rape or not... but, if people seriously wanted justice for the alleged victim... there should have been an outcry for the DA to press charges. That would have brought actual justice for the alleged crimes... I mean... expulsion from school is not exactly a sufficient punishment for a crime like rape.

The article is about Universities but the crack down is about sexual harassment everywhere. Work place, military you name it....It's another form of discrimination and IMO it does need to be stopped.

So, you are equally firm on discrimination against redheads, left handed folks, people with freckles, people who are too tall, thin, short, fat, geeks, nerds, slow, uncoordinated, and any other form of discrimination or meanieness? Or do you simply settle for the limited, officially identified definitions of protected classes?
