One of my oldest friends is as hippy as you can get. So is his wife. They are both teachers and she's retired army. In fact nearly all the hippies I know walk the walk while leading highly productive and successful lives. In fact, I have a member of my family who is a legit counter culture hippy from the 60's and is now a very successful financial advisor in Seattle. His niche is conscientious investing.

Every once in awhile, these types like to blow off some steam at gatherings like Burning Man and then go quietly back to their lives. You apparently would like to tell them how to live, or hope Bundy supporters pick them off. Fucking nanny state conks.

Hey everyone, if your financial advisor were so smart...why the hell is he still working? Oh, that's right, he's making his money off of you.

Our schools teach crap. We are all taught to be consumers. EVERYONE should get a good education in finances before they leave high school. Then, simplify the tax code.
