Happy Earth Day! Are you going to do something wonderful for the earth today?

Interesting fact - today is also Vladimir Lenin's birthday. Coincidence? :suspicious:

Awesome.
I can kill weeds and increase my carbon footprint at the same time. :thumb:

I would pre-soak the weeds with used 30w oil.

Don't put oil back in the ground from where it came!

It only kills the environment when humans dump it back in. When nature does it it's ok.

There is a difference. It's underground, for the most part.

Back when Earth Day started it started with doomsday predictions. Absolutely zero of which came true:

Wind isn't blowing today so we had to burn a little more coal to keep the lights on and the interwebs working. :thumb:

Earth Day Hypocrisy:

Obama: "Our health, our economy, our security, and our planet’s future are once again threatened by pollution and environmental degradation. Earth Day is about taking action"

....meanwhile Obama will burn more than 35,000 gallons of fuel (not including motorcades) on Earth Day, emitting 375 TONS of carbon dioxide.

"President Barack Obama is marking the 44th Earth Day with a carbon-emitting extravaganza, spending more than 15 hours on Air Force One and 15 minutes aboard the Marine One helicopter.

Not including his motorcades in Oso, Washington, the site of a recent devastating mudslide, his trip will consume an estimated 35,565 gallons of fuel.

According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration, the statistics arm of the Department of Energy, burning each gallon emits 21.1 pounds of carbon dioxide, bringing the president's Earth Day carbon footprint to more than 375.7 tons....."

Oil only gets in the ground water when "big oil" does it or liberals need some quick hate in the media.

When I do it, it just seeps back into the ground where it came from.

Isn't Earth Day about raising awareness? I didn't realize that we weren't supposed to work. The President has a job to do, unfortunately is requires a lot of CO2 emissions. That holds true regardless of who holds the office. Maybe next year Obama will spend the day clearing brush at his ranch (as long as he doesn't burn it).
