He's an idiot for going after law abiding citizens in his misguided efforts at "gun control."

1) The NRA totally represents the manufacturers and does more harm than good to gun rights.
2) How bad do you want to bang SE Cupp? I mean she's got that nerdy Lisa Loeb thing going on, but with bigger tits.

Agreed, she is sexy and smart, it's why the libs hate her so much.
Also I would like to know how the NRA is bad for gun rights? This is gonna be some good spin.

1) I don't hate her.
2) The NRA is a lobbying group for manufacturers.
3) When a mass murder takes place the NRA immediately goes into protecting rights mode, making irrational public statements defending the guns rather than allowing for a grace period to let people soak in the tragedy. They deservedly get painted as gun nuts and radicals. That strategy grows anti-gun sentiment.

1) You finally admitted it.
2) Of course they are, and gun owners too.
3) When one of those tragedies happen, the Bloomburgs, Cuomos, Obamas, and Brady Nut jobs of the world immediately go into destroying rights mode, making irrational public statements demanding there should be constitution destroying bans on X-Y-and Z types of guns and blaming the NRA rather than allowing for a grace period to let people soak in the tragedy. They deservedly get painted as freedom hating gun grabbing nuts and radicals. That strategy grows pro-gun sentiment.
kalm, the only reason the NRA says a word is because of irrational statements made by the gun grabbers.
This reminds me of stupid headlines you read or hear on the local news all the time...SUV crashes into a crowd and kills X number of people, SUV crashes on the interstate 2 dead, pedestrian in critical condition after being run over by SUV, etc.
The SUV didn't do a damn thing, it was the idiot behind the wheel.

I agree with Baldy on point 3
I don't even like the NRA and I will never be a member until they become proactive instead of reactive. They need to push for mandatory school education. Require teachers to acquire CWPs and bring the next generations of youth through school programs so they are not as ignorant as their parents are about guns.
Until the go on the offensive they can fu*k off.

The NRA is ALWAYS in protecting rights mode.
Nobody notices until there is an incident and the bobbleheads turn their spotlights on them.

I don't think there's any doubt that gun rights would have been further eroded at this point without the NRA.
Not that there aren't any negative effects from their activity. But, on balance, the net effect has been to slow the erosion of the right to keep and bear arms.

I can't believe you actually wrote that. When a mass murder involving guns takes place what happens is that gun control advocates immediately go into "we need more gun control laws" mode. THEN the NRA goes into protecting rights mode. All they do is play defense. The reason they go into "protecting rights" mode in such instances is because other people first go into "taking rights away" mode.
