Fantastic. Still no word on how many of these people are the young and healthy folks with no preexisting conditions who actually have enough income to pay for insurance without subsidies?

Congrats Obama. Mission Accomplished.

Maybe. Just making a wild guess that enrollees will tend to be people who need insurance now. And we'd hear about it if the number was impressive.

At least they won't be running up a huge medical bill and not paying. Thus raising the cost of health care for everyone to cover those loses.... :coffee:

7.1 million is a totally bogus. Only about 1/3 of those were previously uninsured.
RAND: Only One-Third Of Obamacare Exchange Sign-Ups Were From The Previously Uninsured

So we've had about 6 million lose insurance, and only about 2+ million previously uninsured have signed up for Obamacare.

And Obama and the rest of the clowns in his admin are out touting this as some kind of success. :dunce:

7 million?

When are all the welfare losers going to sign up? Or do we have to do that for them too?

:dunce:

I hate this country.

We'll see. My bet would be the numbers are exaggerated.

Whether that means a lot in the long term or not, I don't know.

I don't know if the enrollment number is exaggerated or not. It is also reasonable to question the age of the enrolled. And it's worth noting that enrollment is one thing, paying into the system is another. Right now I think the system has the quantity of enrolled, not sure about the quality.

Obama, Sept. 9, 2009: There are now more than 30 million American citizens who cannot get coverage.
Only about 23 million short :coffee:

Not sure of your point here. Are you saying that those 23 million can't get coverage? or didn't get coverage?

It was implied that they couldn't get coverage because it was "unaffordable", you would think they would be breaking down doors to get it through the Affordable Care Act. Especially with the amount of money that has been spend promoting the program ever since March 23, 2010. A full four years ago.

But hey, SEVEN MILLION!!! That's a nice big round number to celebrate with!!!

:shocker: :shocker:    :bananahump: :bananahump: :bananahump: :birth: :birth: :birth:

YEAH! SEVEN MILLION PEOPLE SIGNED UP FOR A PROGRAM THAT THEY WERE REQUIRED BY LAW TO SIGN UP AND PAY FOR OR ELSE THEY WOULD BE FORCED TO PAY A FINE, I MEAN TAX, I MEAN A "FEE" FOR NOT SIGNING UP FOR IT!

I agree that this has the chance of being Obama's "Mission Accomplished" moment. Way to early to make that call though.

don't know if the enrollment number is exaggerated or not.
Neither do I. Just saying that if I had to bet I'd bet they are. Could be because I'm just coming off first getting wind of the allegations that the numbers on deportations are exaggerated. Last week I saw Bill O'Reilly do a viewer e mail segment where some guy wrote in complaining that O'Reilly wasn't ragging on Obama about the illegal alien deportation numbers. O'Reilly cited some numbers such that the deportations during the Obama Administration are greater than those of the Bush Administration. I didn't really think anything of it.

Then a few days later I see Jeff Sessions saying that Obama is counting basically catching people at the border and sending them back as deportations and previous Administrations didn't do that. I've tried a few times to find the absolute truth but have so far been unsuccessful. By that I mean that I have confirmed that the Obama Administration does count those as deportations. What I"m missing is confirmation that previous Administrations did not.

Anyway I think this Administration is misleading all the time and you'll come out ahead if every time they say something you bet you're not getting an accurate picture. It's fine if you want to say all Administrations are like that and I think there is some truth to that. But, regardless, you really can't assume anything this Administration says is true.

Again, if you want to extend that and say that's the way it is with any Administration that's fine. But it's CERTAINLY the case with THIS Administration.

The number certainly IS exaggerated. The word I'm hearing is that somewhere in the vicinity of 600-800K have actually PAID.

Hardly 7M. Liars....

Like BH86 said, the key word is enrolled and not paid. Try and keep up.
