Constitutional Crisis!

CIA to Diane Feinstein: "Fuck off!".
Feinstein is so angry about the CIA spying on Senate Intelligence Committee staff, she's fired off a letter or two.

Then the CIA asks the justice department for an investigation of the intelligence committee.
There's no doubt the CIA and NSA are out of control. But these complaints are just funny as hell coming from the idiot who strongly defended the NSA's ability to violate the 4th Amendment. It's ok long as theyre spying on ordinary people.
She's not a good person.

Snowden is having a field day.
http://www.nbcnews.com/storyline/cia-se ... ing-n49881" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
"'It's clear the CIA was trying to play 'keep away' with documents relevant to an investigation by their overseers in Congress, and that's a serious constitutional concern,” said Snowden in a statement to NBC News. “But it's equally if not more concerning that we're seeing another 'Merkel Effect,' where an elected official does not care at all that the rights of millions of ordinary citizens are violated by our spies, but suddenly it's a scandal when a politician finds out the same thing happens to them."
Snowden was apparently referring to German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s indignation at reports that the U.S. had listened in on her personal conversations, but her failure to condemn the NSA for mass surveillance of communications of German citizens. Both were revealed by the release of documents that Snowden took from NSA computers and distributed to journalists."
VOTE THEM ALL OUT.

I have a better idea. Hang them all from the Washington monument as traitors to our nation.

I LOL'd about this watching the news yesterday. Seems that what's good for the voting public (Obamacare, NSA spying, etc.) isn't really appropriate for an esteemed Senator or House Rep.

Saw this on Yahoo and thought of this thread. Not really related, but a similar hipocrisy existed back during Prohibition. We need term limits, badly.
During the days of Prohibition, there was perhaps no one with easier access to alcohol in the nation’s capital than the very people responsible for ratifying the constitutional amendment that banned the production, sale, and transportation of alcohol: members of Congress.
It was all thanks to Congress’ favorite bootlegger: George Cassiday, who was more commonly known on Capitol Hill as “the man in the green hat.” For 10 years, he ran a bootlegging operation for Congress out of the House and Senate office buildings.
“He kept them wet, even though they all voted dry,” Garrett Peck, author of the book “Prohibition in Washington, D.C.: How Dry We Weren’t,” told “Power Players” in an interview in the Prohibition-era wine cellar that belonged to President Woodrow Wilson.

I would too if I hadn't already swore a mickle oath to never again vote for anybody other than Willie Nelson for POTUS.

She and all of her brethren should be equally upset about Obama taking disregard for separation of powers to another level.

In defense of the CIA (and it probably isn't much of a defense) members of the Senate and House Intel Cmtes. (and the White House) have a long history of leaking classified information when it serves their political objectives.

I wonder whether the Constitution even really justifies the existence of something like the CIA or the FBI for that matter. I really do. To me it's quite possibly just more illustration of ditching the Constitution in the name of Security.
Anyway, I'm not convinced that the people who ratified the Constitution or any of the subsequent amendments really thought that agencies such as the CIA and FBI fit into Constitutional limits on the Federal Government's power. Add stuff like ATF and NSA to that question too.

Being justified by the Constitution has never been a barrier to existence for Federal agencies.

Or government actions. Jefferson struggled mightily with the Louisiana Purchase.
