A deadly fraternity? Seriously? A week as a rat or a knob is rougher than any time you could have pledging some dumb fraternity

Also, pledges had to take off all their clothes when entering the house. What kind of fag enforces that, let alone accepts that as a condition to be one of their brothers?

I honestly never heard of that Fraternity. When I went to school the two big ones were Kappa Alpha And Kappa Sigma.

Otherwise I'm glad I went to college in the 1970s and very early 1980s before the "Safety Nazi" mentality took over.

You know I was told a story of what happened in a fraternity house...Kappa Alpha I think...that made me feel very sorry for the young woman involved. A guy got a girl to agree to have sex with him. Then he told some other fraternity guys about it so they could get in a closet and watch.

Then he gets her to get on his hands and knees to do it from behind. And he tells her to bark like a dog. She starts doing it and the guys in the closet start laughing and fall out of the closet so that all of a sudden she's caught in that situation knowing other guys were watching and now they're laughing and all.

I always thought that was really terrible and that all of the guys involved were A holes.

Maybe somebody who was in a Frat will respond to the comment about having to pay for one's friends.

I was never invited to join a Frat. Well, maybe later on I was invited by one with a name I can't even remember. One of my friends was in it and it was VERY party oriented so I went to a number of its "get completely wasted" parties. It was different than the others and it's possible somebody invited me but I don't recall. Anyway I wasn't popular and I wasn't invited at first and for sure wasn't invited to either of the two that invited all the popular guys (Kappa Alpha and Kappa Sigma). So if I say I wouldn't have joined one it comes off kind of like the sour grapes fox.

But I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have joined one if invited.

Sell that "tough black frats" crap somewhere else- nobody at The Citadel or VMI buys it because we had black cadets secretly go up to SCSU and pledge Omegas and others. They laughed at how seriously you guys take yourself when in reality you arent sh!t to someone who has run the rat line or knob year. I have a classmate who pledged Omegas and he said pledging Omegas for Citadel cadets was like going back to kindergarten after finishing high school.

Black fraternity boys are still frat boys, only black.

Not to be insensitive here but why was she distraught and shook up? Getting raped by some fag frat guy is almost like getting drunk and kissing some chick, so it's basically girl on girl. If your friend is not lesbian then I understand and withdraw my comment.

I never really got the whole frat thing. My freshman/sophomore roommate was one of my best friends from 8 yrs old up until he pledged. It completely changed his personality, got him mixed up in a bunch of questionable stuff, and pretty much ended our friendship. Nothing bad happened between us, but he just started running with a MUCH different crowd. I haven't heard from him in 20+ yrs.

Has anyone noticed that if you have 10 cars with fraternity or sorority stickers, tags or plate covers, 9 of them belong to black frats?

At CCU there were a few black frats that did a lot of community service, and that is to their credit, but the whole pay for friendship is beyond me. My brother was a Kappa Sig in the early 90s. He told me years ago that it was a complete waste of time, effort and money.
