No new borders - Obama

What a jackass. :ohno:

"President Barack Obama said Thursday that there is a "path to de-escalation" for the crisis in Ukraine but that the United States and the international community believes that borders cannot "be redrawn over the heads of democratic leaders."

"The proposed referendum on the future of Crimea would violate the Ukrainian constitution and violate international law," he said in remarks in the White House. "Any discussion about the future of Ukraine must include the legitimate government of Ukraine. In 2014 we are well beyond the days when borders can be redrawn over the heads of democratic leaders."'

Yes, because the borders that have been arbitrarily set by white colonists will remain in place.

And hey, let's make those countries that left Russia in the 1990s revert back to Russian control.

If Eric Holder is the one interpreting what "international law" is then they are in real trouble. He has a little trouble interpreting our own Constitution. :coffee:

I agree. And, Obama keeps pissing me off on this.
The proposed referendum on the future of Crimea would violate the Ukrainian constitution
And, Yanukovych was removed from office... against the Ukranian constitution. But, no one in the United States gov't seems to care about that... in fact, they support it. Because, it serves US interests.

I'm far from a Putin or Yanukovych supporter... but, you can't say the Ukrania constitution must be followed in one instance and not the other.

Funny how he chooses which "elected" Ukrainian government to back up (although I have no problem with him siding with the one that aligns with our interests). Also this Crimean referendum is the next play Putin stole out of the Hitler playbook. Interesting to say the least. :coffee:

He's just a puppet for Google, who doesn't want to put in the money and time to redraw their maps.

In the meantime, Scotland is voting in September on whether to separate from England.

England is threatening Scotland with all sorts of financial scare tactics to keep her little empire together. Scotland, though, has oil.

Only 33% in favor right now, but I would LOVE to see Scotland separate. :thumb:

Obama, of course, is speaking out his azz, azz usual. :ohno:

One more thing...the new government in Kiev has appointed new governors for the Eastern regions.

Who did they pick? :suspicious:

Why, a billionaire who co-owns the largest bank in the Ukraine, and another billionaire who owns one of the world's largest mining companies.

"The self-proclaimed government in Kiev has appointed two of Ukraine’s richest men to govern large industrial regions in the defiant east. One of the reasons for the Maidan protest was the influence the rich have on politics in the country.

The appointments of new governors of Donetsk and Dnepropetrovsk Regions are among 18 made on Sunday by Kiev, which is struggling to consolidate power after the coup which ousted President Yanukovich last month.

The newly-appointed Dnepropetrovsk governor is a Jewish man named Igor Kolomoysky, Ukraine’s third-wealthiest man, with an estimated fortune of $2.4 billion. He co-owns the informal commercial group Privat, which includes Ukraine’s largest bank Privatbank, which Kolomoysky heads, as well as assets in the oil, ferroalloys and food industries, agriculture and transport."

And they are Jews!

You can't make this stuff up!
