Really shows how ingrained anti-union sentiment remains in the South. The employer, VW, didn't fight the UAW, and the workers weren't sold on the benefits of collective bargaining.

that and job banks, union dues, union thugs, forced participation, keeping crappy workers on payroll at $60.00 an hour, yeah all that... :coffee:

If your company is well managed you won't have unions

Trust me though managers in government hate unions as much as private ownership  .

Yep. Exhibit A. :thumb:

Busting unions is a classic case of treating the symptom. :coffee:

Power switches sides like a pendulum. Once upon a time management had too much power, so unions were formed. Now unions may have too much power. I'm not a fan of unions, but they wouldn't exist if there hadn't been past abuses.

Seems to me the only way to guarantee that abuses won't occur in the future is to have Gov't regulation or unions. We may not need both, but I think we need one or the other.

I want a healthcare system that doesn't place company profits ahead of my health. :coffee:

In other words, socialized medicine

No competition, with a quality guarantee from that paragon of bureaucratic efficiency- the Federal government

Yeah. Another 5,000,000 without health insurance. A president who lies through his teeth. Awesome.
