Really great behind-the-scenes documentary on Mitt Romney's 2008 and 2012 campaigns on Netflix. A lot of good political stuff you don't really see -- like debate prep. And, there's a whole lot of humanizing of Romney. That was one of his biggest weaknesses, imo... he always just came apart as fake and plastic... but, the documentary shows a very different side of him. One moment that really stayed with me was when he and his family were sitting around discussing someone attacking him about the car elevator in his house and what his response should be... one of his sons says "It's for his wife's MS, you asshole." Damn.

I found this last night and put it in the Queue. Is it really worth the watch?

Show me a presidential candidate who has NOT come off as fake and plastic. Seriously, I think it's how they're controlled by their handlers.

Obama doesn't come off as plastic. That doesn't mean he's not an empty suit. It's more subtle with some candidates than others.

I wasn't taken back by the use of the word "asshole." I was taken back by his son's reaction to to the elevator controversy... in a way that I had never even thought about or considered. Made me feel bad for knocking Romney for it.

And, yeah -- it's definitely worth a watch if you're at all into politics. One of the best documentaries on a political race I've seen.
