Congress Mostly Millionaires

I'm sure this surprises no one.

But is it possible to change this?
I know that in my profession and with my family/responsibilities I could not take time out to hold a full time public office that could very well only be for a few years. If I quit my job I'd have to start over somewhere else and then the question would be if I could even get a job in the same field because while I was politicking.......I was losing touch/knowledge with my profession.
A person pretty much has to be self sufficient financially, to even think about politics.
It's a shame to because I know I have the answer to everything!
