While America shortens yellow light times and installs cameras to suck every single cent they can out of their citizens:

Venezuela clearly shows their people how much time is left at a Yellow light (and a green light, and a red light)..

... And our government wants Americans to hate Venezuela's government of course... (America hates it when another government shows them up and actually works to make their people's lives easier, instead of a living hell.. and doesn't screw their people every chance they have, just like Gaddafi creating the highest standard of living in Africa in Libya before he was taken out) and when they don't bend over and have a lot of oil.
Of course.
Venezuelans paying 6 cents for a gallon of gasoline really has to PISS our government off too.. proving how you don't have to rip people off.

I only know one Venezuelan but she despises the Venezuelan government. I'll take her word for it over yours every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

She's likely living in the US isn't she? Probably moved here over a decade ago, right?
Oh, and on a side note, I think you could find quite a few MILLION people here in this country who despise THIS Government..
Congressional approval was at 9% last time I checked...

No, it's just an example of how things could be much better and you can't always trust what our government says about other nations- and it's ironic it's in a nation constantly vilified by our government struggling Americans are paying $ 3.70 here in SLO, or 61 Times as much as they're paying in Venezuela..
You don't agree it would be nice to see how much time is at a yellow light, instead of having red-light cameras being installed at many intersections nation-wide ticketing people? That's just one example..
Last time I heard, the Venezuelan government isn't reading all their people's e-mails either.

No, they're hauling them off in the middle of the night, never to be heard from again.

No, I don't agree
at all. Around here we now have timers at pretty much all crosswalks that countdown how long until yellow. Since those appeared I've noticed drivers punching it approacing intersections in an attempt to beat the yellow. The youtube clip wouldn't play for me, so I'm assuming this is similar with a countdown? I'd much rather have people actually slow down and stop at red lights than trying to beat them. I hate speed cameras because they are put in places where speeds are abnormally low. But I'd be fine with red light cameras at all red lights.

Yup, she's lived here 20 years but her parents are still in VZ and she goes back at least once a year to see them. Her brother lives here too. Both are upset they can't get their parents to leave. Both say it's fucked up down there. That's a small sample, but that's all I have first hand. As for people hating the US goverment... that's not news. But how many folks emmigrate each year?

At least in NoVA, most lights have car detectors. They're WAY more efficient than set timers.

Stop lights at major intersections with cross walks here in Maryland have count down timers letting you know how much time you have left until the light turns red.
