Why should people who don't want or don't need birth control have to pay for it to be on their insurance policies? Why should those who want and need it be subsidized by others?Chizzang wrote:Why should the pill NOT be covered by insurance..?
And seriously, who cares if it is..?

Why should my health insurance rates cover mammograms? or any pregnancy related costs?
Because it will help keep people you don't want breeding from breeding. See, there's a silver lining to everything.CitadelGrad wrote:Why should people who don't want or don't need birth control have to pay for it to be on their insurance policies? There's lots of things that should be and shouldn't be...CitadelGrad wrote:They shouldn't.dbackjon wrote:

Not necessarily. The government can force all insurance companies to include birth control coverage on all policies, but that does not mean the policy holder will actually use birth control.Grizalltheway wrote:Because it will help keep people you don't want breeding from breeding. Well, when he saves this country from the shithole Obama has dug us into you'll be glad you saved him from eating himself to death.Chizzang wrote:There's lots of things that should be and shouldn't be...CitadelGrad wrote:

all of us paying for Christie's Lap Band surgery (for example)
or fat people getting any kind of healthcare at all when they are obviously not worthy of Health Care
as they are not taking the basic steps required to care for themselves
Let's debate that point (shall we)
Well, now you have your answer (in microcosm) as to why this government cannot operate effectively on those trillions of dollars in revenue.Chizzang wrote:Why should the pill NOT be covered by insurance..?

You know what's wrong with you?Chizzang wrote:There's lots of things that should be and shouldn't be...CitadelGrad wrote:

There's some truth to your statement...CID1990 wrote:You know what's wrong with you?Chizzang wrote:

You're a goddamn pragmatic conservative and you won't admit it.
Plenty of conservatives are pro choice but also anti abortion (like me). Those two are perfectly reconcilable. BTW nobody is saying they don't want women to have access to birth control. Hell the pill is about as cheap as aspirin these days anyway. I don't want to pay for your jimmy hats either- although who would want to bang a guy who can't afford his own Trojans?Chizzang wrote:There's some truth to your statement...CID1990 wrote:

Were it not for a few key elements associated with my disposition
Such as: the aforementioned women's right to chose
and my distaste for our military used as an economic tool and plastic bags (don't forget those)

I'm also sure there is an anti plastic bag faction of the Tea Party since they attract all the other nuts too
Can't help you with the military though. That's the bailiwick of both sides.... certainly no reason to pick sides over it since there ARE no sides

Actually I'm a pretty green dude myself and I agree with you on the plastic bag thing. I just couldn't resist the tea party playChizzang wrote:CID1990 wrote:

Okay lets go over a few points of agreement and contention
1) I am absolutely Pro-Choice and I'm not exactly anti-abortion (lets just say I don't care)
In this completely insane world we have created abortion is hardly a blip on the torture and mass-destruction radar and choosing to focus on it solely infringes on the rights of women when there are hundreds of other things that kill far more convincingly with far more quantity...
2) I am horrified and offended that you threw my plastic bag issue in with the Tea Party
(well played sir) As fringe as the Plastic Bag thing might seem it highlights a cornerstone issue
We are a Petrol First society (by design) economy with almost no thought of the consequences
Plastic bags are so unbelievably unnecessary and ridiculous / simultaneously being extremely destructive and virtually indestructibly permanent (it's an example of our Petrol first insanity)
3) The military thing / as much as I agree with you that it is both sides
I liked being lied to by the Democrats while we doubled down on Afghanistan
If I were to become a Republican I would no longer be allowed to complain about the military
