He's the guy I wanted to run in 2008... and he's the guy I want to see in 2016.

He's very moderate. Strong on 2nd amendment rights. Has a strong business background.

Chris Christie vs. Mark Warner in 2016 would be an awesome race between two moderates. Would do wonders for this country, imo. Therefore, it will never happen.

He voted for the "Affordable" Care Act. That's a deal breaker.

In all seriousness, he did a good job budget-wise as Governor of Virginia, but he did so by raising certain taxes. My number one political issue is finance/jobs related. He was Governor during the boom years of the early 2000's when it was the easiest to govern finances though. Can he handle the tough financial decisions of over spending or create jobs? There is no historical record for him on those.

He is not "strong on 2nd Amendment rights"...

He wants to further restrict law-abiding citizens...

From the Warner Senate biography:

"Before entering public office, Senator Warner was an early investor in the cellular telephone business. He co-founded the company that became Nextel, and ultimately made early investments in hundreds of start-up technology companies that have created tens-of-thousands of private sector jobs."

What is does not say is that he was an aide to Senator Christopher Dodd. He resigned his position with Dodd and used the information he gained through that job to do what the bio states. If only you or I were privy to the info he had we would be multi-millionaires too.

He has an 'A' rating from the NRA.

A grade 'A' from the NRA = 'solidly pro gun'

To paraphrase Governor-elect McAsshole, "I don't care what grade he gets from the NRA, I don't want to see Warner reelected "..,

And I guarantee that grade will be going down...
