Did she not understand how babies are made after the first one?

At some point people need to take ownership of their lives and stop blaming others. I have nieces who were born to a teenage mother and they, then, in turn also became teenage mothers. It's not that they didn't know about birth control or proper sex education, it's that they didn't care and in many ways, were happy to become mothers. And in 15-20 years, sure enough, the pattern will, sadly, most likely continue.

How did people ever manage before birth control existed? It's a wonder that starvation and poverty weren't rampant all over the world for all of history back before birth control existed. Must've been all those medieval abortions.
