I tend to agree, sadly. Too many dumbass, lazy fucks who have figured out that they can vote for a living.

IMO that is 0bama's greatest achievement. He was able to mobilize an army of the ignorant and stupid and fuck this country at the ballot box not once but twice... and it isn't just that 0bama got elected, the coat tails extended down the ballot and did even more damage. For example: Alan Grayson was elected to Congress in 2008, lost in 2010, and was elected again in 2012.

Yeah...it's only happened in the last 5 years!

Obama is a turd for sure. But the Dem's have been moving to the right economically for quite some time. The Republicans have also made some moves to the left. Both parties are completely captured by monied interests. The Dems had to move this direction as the unions lost their power. So you end up with the Republicans nominating a couple of statists (I couldn't wait to use the new favorite conk term  ), one of which was still pro-military adventurism on the heals of the Bush debacle, and the other designing a healthcare plan similar to Obamacare.

Then...Palin

Paul Ryan should have been the nominee over Romney as he would have at least provided an interesting CHOICE. But his ideas were too radical and scary for the establishment and the big money. (See Tea Party brinkmanship. I'll guarantee you Jamie Dimon has made more than a few calls to Boehner  )

As for Reagan? As bad a president as Bush 2 or Obama. He could have still ridden his charisma quite far, but if he was running off his track record today he would get primary(ed)...for multiple reasons.

I can't speak for other parts of the country but in Central FL the Tea Party events are attended overwhelmingly by small business owners, mixed in with a very strong helping of middle class working families who tend to be over 35 YO. You also see a lot of professionals. In other words, the backbone of the community both economically and socially, the best and brightest, hardly the image the Democrats and their lapdog media have portrayed.

So in summary you're saying that the same purse strings control all 535... for the most part that's right with a few exceptions.

Reagan was the worst president since World War II. I'd even take that psycho, Nixon, before him. No one did more to turn the world off to the U.S. than that clown and no one did more to harm our economy. More accurately, no one turned the world off to the U.S. more than his handlers, as he was "sleepwalking through history". Bush II close behind.

Yeah. You're seeing the extrem minority, cream of the crop that can actually make it to those clownfests. The bulk of the Tea Party voter base..the meth producer, alcoholic, wife-beating, yellow arm pit stained NASCONK racists are in their trailers shooting cans with pistols and waiting for their disability checks. The only decent thing they'll spend their checks on is getting a new tranny for the el camino so they can make their once every four year visit to the public library to vote for the whitest candidate.

Yeah? Well that "Reagan couldn't get elected in today's GOP" meme is a bunch of populist liberal crap. I'm just surprised a smart guy like you doesn't see the hypocrisy from the left; where the GOP's last offering in a Presidential election was a guy who is more liberal than Jack Kennedy ever was, and yet Reagan wouldn't get elected? Well Reagan is no Jack Kennedy. By today's Democratic Party standards Jack Kennedy would rank somewhere between Barry Goldwater and David Duke.

So bite my a$& with you guys Reagan obsession. Nobody has a monopoly on breathless unicorn crazy like the Dem party
