...many moons ago, I heard the (then) head of CA's dept. of Corrections half jokingly say that after 40 years in corrections, he wished the state would fence off 100 square miles out in the desert, put all the prisoners inside, then drop water, booze, pot, smack and one day's supply of food...
...once a week.
At the end of one year, anyone smart enough to survive would be released.
This was, of course, said to a "non-public" group.
Since the majority of gun related violence occurs between criminals (gangs, drug deals gone awry, violence revenge, etc...)...
...have you considered the potential eugenic ramifications of weapon proliferation?
