Let's face it.......as many conservatives preach, it really IS up to the individual to make wise choices in their lives and that includes investments. So tell me CONKS........how are your investments doing since Obama's election back in 2008??? If you tell me that they are doing bad........then you are obviously an idiot when it comes to investing.

Oh yeah......I'm up over 300% since 2008. How can I complain about that?

Yes, my investments are doing well and that helps offset the 40% loss in compensation that I have had to endure because Obama has not done a damn thing to help the economy (and that does not include the fact that I have lost a 401k match that could have made even more money in this market). Yup, the Americans that have jobs are working longer and harder for less compensation, and the corporations are showing huge profits as they stockpile money to withstand the higher taxes and Obamacare that is coming. This means that unemployment will remain high and compensation will remain low for the foreseeable future. But yeah, my investments have been doing well.

I'm not a conk, but I lost about 35% in 2008. The last I checked, I had regained all of it but it's been a slow 5 years to get to that point.

Just speaking for me I'm in great shape.

401(k) is higher than ever & so is my income. I was laid off in 2010 & switched jobs 2x since then but finally landed in the health care field and have been doing it for 2+ years.

While I feel sorry for people that have been out of work for more than a year I can't say I'm puzzled as to a) how it could take people that long to find a job and b) how they can maintain a standard of living.

You can roll your eyes all you want, but we're going on 5 years into the Obama reign and he has yet to accept responsibility for a single thing that's gone wrong under his watch...and I dont' expect that mantra to change in the next 3+ years.
