Anyone who worships pre-teen Russian porn should never use the word "crank" in a thread title.

They just don't come any stupider than Texas, except maybe Bunco and BDMBSHT.
Next time one of these pinheads tells you evolution doesn't happen, ask him why he has to get a different flu shot every year.

Try Florida as well. Or Upstate New York? There are some scary folks up there.

I don't get flu shots. It's potentially lethal.

So you think that evolution in living things with trillions of nucleated cells is the same as gradual mutations to a neuraminidase on a viral particle

?
Seriously, people need to not let sand get into their vaginas over this. If we want more kids to grow up to be doctors and biomedical scientists they need to be learning cell biology and physiology and not worry so much about their opinions on evolution. There's a reason evolution isn't on the MCAT and doesn't appear in most every medical school and biomedical science curriculum.

The reason is because it's common sense and completely observable...

If you want to kick Texas and all of the States that made up the Confederate States of America out of the United States I am in support of that. Feel free.

That's the thing. It really isn't important that anybody believe in the overall theory of evolution. It has no practical effect. Whether one believes that the relationships between organisms are due to the scenario described by the overall theory of evolution or because "God made them that way" is totally irrelevant to what people can actually DO in terms of developing useful things.
It's true. For some reason people act like it's CRITICALLY IMPORTANT that the overall theory of evolution be accepted. And it's not. And I say that in spite of the fact that I'm among those who do accept it as the most plausible explanation for what we see.

It says a lot about how they think though. You can try and draw conclusions from the best available evidence, or you can fall back on a 2000 year old book full of stories that were passed down for thousands of years before someone put them in writing.

I don't know shit from shineola (sp) about evolution on the level some of you purport. But I do know my neighbor was born without wisdom teeth which, according to him, is becoming more common. That blew my mind!

Texas got it right (no pun intended). Every week, another high level member(s) of the scientific community (including former members of the IPCC) publicly recant their support of AGW theory. The ONLY folks who still blindly support AGW theory are either doing so for profit, to further a political/social engineering agenda, or merely are simpletons. ....what's your excuse, Cappy?

Just Texas, we need the rest of them for minimum wage labor.
Maybe we could pay Mexico to take Texas back.

Finish Catholic seminary, get assigned to a NorCal parish (not one of the Stockton diocese), then we'll talk. With SNAP scoring $3m and up settlements, who needs Viagra...
