Niose said the pledge’s repetitiveness in the public school system is indoctrinating and alienating to atheists.
“It validates believers as good patriots and it invalidates atheists as non-believers at best and unpatriotic at worst,” he said.
Rassbach added that it has been illegal to force someone recite the pledge since 1943. The landmark U.S. Supreme Court case West Virginia State Board of Education v. Barnette ruled that students could not be forced to salute the American flag or say the pledge in school. It was considered a huge victory for Jehovah’s Witnesses, who cannot salute or pledge to symbols, according to their religious beliefs.
God these kind of articles just piss me off. IF YOU DONT WANT TO SAY UNDER GOD, DONT. STOP TRYING TO RUIN IT FOR EVERYBODY ELSE. Jeezus I HATE PEOPLE

When people who say they are being infringed upon turn around and try to infringe on someone else it pisses me off. Why can't people live and let live? This now sorry a$$ country was founded under God, when you say Under God in the pledge, all you are doing is stating history, this country was FOUNDED under God, that is all those two little words are saying, NO ONE IS FORCING RELIGION ON YOU.
Nobody is forcing you to say the Plegde, STOP trying to FORCE others to stop saying it.
I hate double standards like this

"Under god" wasn't in the pledge until some peckerwood senator decided to ruin it for everybody else.
BTW, it was written by a socialist.

The peckerwood brought the idea forth Congress passed it, so who should really be blamed?
How can something Violate someone's rights if it's not being forced on them?

Like I said: "under god" was not in the pledge originally.
Personally I think it is the cream of the jest that so few of the crowd who worship the pledge realize that it was written by a socialist.

What does this have to do with political party? Republican, Democrat, Socialist, Capitolist? what does it matter? Since when does your political affiliation determine whether or not your religious?
Barrack Obama claims to be Christian, and he's a socialist

Maybe they would like this one better.
I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under Obama, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

This country is more divided now than it has ever been since the Civil War

As a political movement, socialism includes a diverse array of political philosophies, ranging from reformism to revolutionary socialism. Proponents of state socialism advocate the nationalisation of the means of production, distribution and exchange as a strategy for implementing socialism. In contrast, libertarian socialism opposes the use of state power to achieve such an arrangement, opposing both parliamentary politics and state ownership.[8] Democratic socialism seeks to establish socialism through democratic processes and propagate its ideals within the context of a democratic political system
Sounds like Obama to me

Wikipedia isn't a great source and providing a definition isn't providing proof. How is he a socialist? By forcing people to partake in the capitalist market via Obamacare? How?

contemporary social democrats support a welfare state and unemployment insurance as a means to "humanize" capitalism
That really sounds like Obama

I get pissed too if I made wild, emotional claims that aren't based in fact.

Again, you haven't offered any action by Obama to prove he is a socialist. So far, it's just your opinion and biased interpretation of a definition. Unemployment insurance and the "welfare" state go back to the 1930s, at least.

I'd say the word he was looking for to describe Obama was communist.

Where is your proof? Conservatives are always saying he's a socialist or communist but never offer up any proof. It's pretty telling when socialists come out and say Obama isn't one of them.

No, Obama is a half-white, Christian, conservative, warmongering, racist, friend of Wall Street divider of the people of this country hidden under a half-black skinned, Muslin loving, pinko-hippie, Nobel Peace Prize winning, racist, lower class community organizer divider of the people of this country.
