Another govt program program full of waste, fraud, and abuse that should be eliminated. That's over 2 billion a yr that could be saved right there...

BTW- a cellphone is NOT a necessity, especially if you are supposedly too poor to buy one on your own. It isn't like you need to reach your broker on a moment's notice.

I'm not so sure about that. Not that I'm an Obama fan or anything (I'm certainly NOT), but this isn't an Obama program. This program has been around in one form or another since Reagan.

A phone might ne a necessity, but a cell phone isn't. After all, how did people survive in the 90s without cell phones and prior without I know I certainly did, using land lines and the occasional pay phone...

Free college education and grants.

This program isn't about cellphones it's about making sure every single person in the country is traceable.

Cell phone = tracking device = data fed into the NSA = 100% of Americans can be constantly monitored.
