"
Weiner ‘Very Sorry’ For Latest Sexting Revelations; Hopes For ‘Second Chance’
U.S. Rep. Anthony Weiner responded apologetically Tuesday following revelations of another alleged cybersex relationship, but said he is not going anywhere when it comes to the mayoral race.
“I want to bring my vision to the City of New York,” he said at a news conference along with his wife, Huma Abedin, late Tuesday afternoon. “I hope they are still willing to give me a second chance.”......."

2nd chance?

You mean 3rd chance.
And what "vision" could that be.......

ANTHONY WEINER ADMITS TO MORE LEWD PHOTOS
Associated Press
NEW YORK
New York City mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner admitted on Tuesday to sending additional explicit photos and texts to a woman he met online _ correspondence she says began months after he resigned from Congress for similar behavior.
The allegation could severely test voters' willingness to forgive Weiner, who has said he spent the two years since the scandal trying to make things right with his wife and earn redemption.
Weiner, who resigned his House seat in June 2011 after acknowledging having sexual conversations with at least a half-dozen women, has been near the top of most mayoral polls since his late entry into the race this spring.
"I said that other texts and photos were likely to come out and today they have," said Weiner in a statement released by his campaign. "I want to again say that I am very sorry to anyone who was on the receiving end of these messages and the disruption this has caused."
Weiner did not say when the newly revealed exchanges occurred, but he said his behavior created "challenges in our marriage that extended past my resignation."
The new lewd correspondence was posted Monday by the gossip website The Dirty. The woman involved was not identified.
The woman, who told the website she was 22 when she began her correspondence with Weiner, said their online relationship lasted for six months and continued into last summer.
She claimed Weiner used the alias "Carlos Danger" for their tawdry exchanges and later asked her to destroy the evidence of their chats.
Weiner's wife, Huma Abedin, has played a large _ and increasing _ role in his mayoral campaign.
Abedin, a longtime adviser to Hillary Rodham Clinton, urged Weiner to run for office, has led his campaign fundraising and recently made her debut on the campaign trail. Two weekends ago, she walked hand-in-hand with Weiner as they talked to voters on a Harlem street.
"This behavior is behind me," said Weiner in the statement released Tuesday. "I apologized to Huma and am grateful that she has worked through these issues with me and for her forgiveness."
His problems began on May 28, 2011,................."

Please do!

Imagine, the mayor of the largest city in the US, and one of the most famous in the world, with the last name of Weiner, with picks of his..ahem...Weiner, posted all over the internet in 2011, again in 2013, along with a slew of explict messages back and forth with a bunch of 20 something HOs....YOU CAN'T make this stuff up. Comedians would have an even bigger field day with it than they had in 2011 and are about to have now. And you know this guy has some serious mental issues where he would do it again...NYC would go from being the Big Apple to the Big Weiner? NYC would become the laughingstock of the country....

Hows the circle jerk coming along boys..?
The answer is YES people are stupid enough to re-elect him (see below for more evidence)
BTW:
1) Republican Ensign's sex scandal, which appears to include possible criminal misconduct, hasn't interfered with him remaining a Republican senator in good standing.
2) Sen. David Vitter another right-wing, "family-values" hypocrite, got caught with a prostitute. Not only did he stay in office, but he's seeking re-election — and polls show him winning.
3) Gov. Mark Sanford's sex scandal got plenty of coverage, but note that he's still the governor.
4) Nevada Gov. Jim Gibbons found himself in a sex scandal, but like Vitter, he not only stayed in his job, but he's running for another term, too.
5) Former Sen. Larry Craig was caught up in an especially humiliating controversy, but he didn't resign before the end of his term, either.

No. He resigned. He recently ran in a special election for South Carolina's first congressional district and won, defeating a friend of mine in the GOP primary, as well as the Democrat nominee, Stephen Colbert's sister.

Indeed, He's still in office and winning elections...
He currently serves as the U.S. Representative for South Carolina's 1st congressional district after winning a special election on May 7

Honestly, I don't care about someone's sex life or personal problems as long as they can do the job. I'd guess some very competent people on this website have sexted and/or done something sexually over the internet. I'd also wager that as Millennials begin to gain political power, we're probably gonna see more explicit type of stuff dug up (especially from their past)...perhaps to the point where it's not really a big deal anymore (because it's not really a big deal among my generation).
edit: On a related note, it'll be an interesting to see how the dynamics of politics changes as younger people grow old and gain political power. Most of our lives, statements, and photos have been documented through social media outlets (including forums such as this one)...there forever to be dug up. Wonder if that stuff will come back to bite office-seekers, or if people won't care since it's expected?

Here's the thing....New Yorker's don't care if he slaps his dick on twitter for fun.
We just want a mayor that keep crime low, propery values stable with affordable rent and the city clean.
Everything else is material for entertaining reading in the Post.

But we live in a world where we're forced to pretend we care about sex scandals and adultery
When obviously not very many people do
We know Liberals don't care / they only care when they catch a Republican
and we know Republicans only say they care
but are constantly proving they don't either (they just say they do)

Sex... it's fun (everybody's doing it)

Sex is the business of he and his wife and whoever they are having sex, however defined, with. As he presents himself into PUBLIC life, his judgment about everything is our concern or at least the concern of those he wants to represent. I personally could care less as New York is a cesspool and I wouldn't live there on a dare.

Another point - these aren't new issues. The pics are just ones that weren't released last time around......which, btw, Weiner told everyone would happen when he addressed this when it first happened.
He had a lapse in judgement. We all do. I'm glad it was about whether or not to try and get some strange and not about something serious.

Doing this show an extreme lack of intelligence, judgement, and maturity for someone of his age, which indicates he wouldn't be able to make the decisions, provide the leadership, and command the respect to "keep crime low, property values stable with affordable rent and the city clean".
