Obamacare Mandate Delayed until 2015

Are you serious?
Instead, it will delay enforcement of a major Affordable Care Act requirement that all employers with more than 50 employees provide coverage to their workers until 2015.

The administration said it would postpone the provision after hearing significant concerns from employers about the challenges of implementing it.
I doubt they are just now listening to people. What a joke.

You got it. This is a really bad political stunt.

Obama is really starting to solidify his legacy with GWB in the bottom rung all-time of US Presidents.

What a disgrace this spineless fuck has become.

Healthcare should not be mandated on employers.

Agreed. That is something that should be negotiated with workers.

Of course, the recent Hobby Lobby case is showing that. Certain of the mandatory provisions were thrown out in THAT case.

The beauty of all this is that Obama is doing this to avoid a catastrophe in the midterms, and pushing the real train wreck off until .... wait for it.... 2016.

The song and dance Hillary is going to have to do in order to disavow herself from it is going to put Fred Astaire to shame.

It would be entertaining if it wasn't our economy we're talking about.

Buncha negative Nancy's. What happened to the $8/gallon gasoline we were going to get because of Obama's policies?

Nothing like postponing decisions and dragging on political and economic uncertainty. I mean, it's been such a great contributor to an economic recovery that is best described as crawling forward.

Funny how a bunch of guys who don't trust economists are positive that something that hasn't really taken effect yet will destroy the economy.

You mean to tell me voting Obama in caused no CHANGE but more ineptitude?

I'm not relying on an economist's future projection, I'm just looking at where we've been and where we are now, especially the first hand look I get at the manufacturing sector. If you really don't think there's uncertainty and hesitation in the economy with people unsure how things are going to go then you're just not looking around. You can keep your economists and future projections, I'm just worried about the now.

It may not be that high, but it's STILL more than DOUBLE what it was when he took office. That in and of itself is inexcusable....

No.

Our system has its flaws as all healthcare systems do, but Obamacare is a change for the worse, and there is no amount of gussying you can put on it. Increased costs to the taxpayers, elevated costs, and almost zero choice. Precisely the opposite situation that was sold to the public.

Single payer systems around the world are in a state if virtual collapse. The only question I have is:

Why do you have such faith that our government can do it better?

I'm no fan of Obamacare either but one could make the argument that our system is in a state of collapse as well. It's not as if our for-profit insurance companies are highly efficient and keep costs down.

It's almost as if nobody read the fine print when they voted it in and are now realizing that the timelines and execution of this unread program weren't feasible. :coffee:
