Keep up the good work, Sir.

Obama - Kicking conk ass and cleaning up what's bad in american politics.
WASHINGTON — Moving to quell a growing scandal, President Barack Obama on Wednesday fired the acting chief of the Internal Revenue Service and vowed to work closely with Congress in determining who ordered lower-level employees to target tea party groups and other conservative organizations.

That's like giving the arsonist an award for pulling someone out of the building he set afire.

You don't think firing the top guy is a good first move? :silly:

It'll be the ONLY move. That's the problem.

No. I know Washington. Nothing will be done. You and I both know that the real problems won't be fixed. They never are. Washington doesn't fix anything. They put a band aid on it (debt ceiling, sequestration) or they do something drastic that makes more problems (Obamacare, No Child Left Behind.)

The top guy was an acting director whose term was to end at the beginning of June. Not exactly "fired", now was he. In six months he'll have a cushy job somewhere else in the administration or one of its constituent organizations.

I don't know Washington other than it is a very different world. Never been there, unlikely to go. I was stationed at Ft. Eustis back in the 70s; as close as I came, I think.

I think Obama will keep kicking IRS ass because its something we can all agree is a good thing.

Obama hasn't begun to kick ass. He and the West Wing can't even get the story straight on when he knew. A top down reform agency needs to happen and not just b/c of this scandal but b/c the IRS is the largest, fear-mongering group, in the US Gov't.

I think he stays on them because he gets points from both sides of public opinion and he needs that right now.

A Bush appointee? I doubt it. He wants to spend more time with his family. :coffee:

He's too arrogant and hands off. If he cared, Holder would've been let go a long time ago.

He needs to be seen as hands on right now. And even Holder is an improvement over Alberto "Torture" Gonzales.

Obama is playing Whack -a -Mole. If this hadn't had its head raised by the media, nothing would have happened. That's why I don't get why he keeps Holder around - the guy keeps taking a dump and falling back into it and yet he keeps his job because he's "recused himself".

Gives him another sacrifice if the natives stay restless.

Straw man argument. Childish argument. "At least he's better than the republican guy". Geesh.

Hardly. I loathe party loyalists and the mentality.
