Faux outrage #2 - Bush obtained THOUSANDS of records

The Federal Bureau of Investigation improperly obtained calling records for more than 3,500 telephone accounts from 2003 to 2006 without following any legal procedures, according to a newly disclosed report by the Justice Department’s inspector general.

Instead, according to the 289-page report, F.B.I. agents informally requested the records from employees of three unidentified telephone companies who were stationed inside a bureau communications office.

Based on nothing more than e-mail messages or scribbled requests on Post-it notes, the phone employees turned over customer calling records, the report said.

How hypocritical of the right-wing press and Republicans to raise a huge stink now, but ignore it when it happened under Bush.

At least with the AP issue, the DOJ followed the law that you idiots passed in the first place

Either it is a serious issue, or it isn't.

And remember Conks, you passed the law

Blame them. Did I do that right, dback?

Any illegal wiretapping is wrong. Doesn't really fit your narrative, eh?

Do you really think that arrogant, narcissistic fuck would resign? He's more likely to declare himself El Presidente for Life. Even if he wanted to resign, Moochelle would never let him.

As usual when a progressive calls you a name it usually describes them
WASHINGTON — More than two dozen African-American religious leaders and pro-lifers from across the country gathered here Tuesday to call on lawmakers to investigate the abortion industry and a reveal what they say is the mass murder of unborn black babies in poor minority communities.

“Abortion is the number one killer of black Americans,” said Rev. Arnold Culbreath, the Urban Outreach Director of Life Issues Institute, said, adding that the black community is “being targeted by Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry.”
According to Culbreath, 79 percent of Planned Parenthood’s surgical abortion facilities are “intentionally placed” within walking distance of minority neighborhoods.
WASHINGTON — Millions of Americans suffered a loss of wealth during the recession and the sluggish recovery that followed. But the last half-decade has proved far worse for black and Hispanic families than for white families, starkly widening the already large gulf in wealth between non-Hispanic white Americans and most minority groups, according to a new study from the Urban Institute.

i agree. But was it illegal under the Patriot Act?

That is actually what I am trying to get too - Congress passed these laws that allowed the FBI/CIA etc to operate in the dark.

Who possibly could have forseen that a few may abuse it? :ohno:

Everyone. The fact is, this President stated he was different, he talked of transparency. What the DOJ did was wrong. Why you choose to deflect blame is beyond me...other than for partisan reasons. I just think it's a shame that people are so willing to toe the party line.
