The Internal Revenue Service inappropriately flagged conservative political groups for additional reviews during the 2012 election to see if they were violating their tax-exempt status, a top IRS official said Friday.

Organizations were singled out because they included the words "tea party" or "patriot" in their applications for tax-exempt status, said Lois Lerner, who heads the IRS division that oversees tax-exempt groups.

Fuck the government.

leftism has a short life my friend. Trust me, after this debacle of an administration the last 8 years, 2017 on out you can count on a republican for a while.

Yeah, no. I doubt it. Have you looked at this country's demographic trends lately? The next 100 years will be the pay-back-whitey century.

That's the whole point of immigration "reform". They are trying to flood the country, particularly red states like Arizona and Texas, with undocumented Democrat voters.

Mexicans are not all that removed from the CAtholic Church and know the church's position on abortion. I wouldn't give up hope yet. These "catholics" like Biden and Pelosi are the one's the church should've excommunicated long ago. American bishops make me gag more on a daily basis. You cannot believe how thrilled I was that Dolan wasn't selected Pope. I'm not giving up yet boys and girls. This is still America damnit all and once the Berkely pot smoking generation is lying dead and cold in an earthen grave, this country will see better days.

The thing about this is Obama's IRS was specifically asked last yr whether they were targeting conservative groups and they said no during the time period when they were in fact doing the very thing they said they weren't. Lying f***s at the IRS. :ohno: Heads should roll over this.

Congress vows to investigate IRS over conservative audits
Stephen Dinan Published on May 10, 2013

The House oversight committee will look into the IRS's admission Friday that it targeted conservative groups for special scrutiny during last year's elections — a move that committee Chairmen Darrell E. Issa and Jim Jordan said smacks of "political retaliation."

The two lawmakers said they will hold those IRS officials who were involved "responsible … for this political retaliation."

The IRS admitted that it unfairly sent conservative and tea party groups questionnaires last year asking them to justify their tax-exempt status. Republicans at the time accused the agency of trying to intimidate conservatives into silence ahead of the elections.

Friday's admission appears designed to deflate an upcoming audit by the IRS's inspector general looking into the matter.

"The fact that Americans were targeted by the IRS because of their political beliefs is unconscionable," Mr. Issa and Mr. Jordan said in a statement. "The committee will aggressively follow up on the IG report and hold responsible officials accountable for this political retaliation."

Soros is a billionaire who makes boatloads of money by shorting world currencies. Define "real money." Buffett? He's another lefty. Do your homework, Sage of Edwardsville.

I did, and I understood it. What's your point? Your posts get more opaque every day. Kind of like Jay Carney's pressers. :tothehand:

I went to a directional school so forgive me if I'm mistaken, but doesn't the poll show his approval ratings are highest among the highest income segment listed. :suspicious:

Sure, it does. That was my point. Hence my post.

By the way, have you ever been polled by a national organization for any President's approval rating? I haven't, and I don't know anyone who has.

Things are getting very interesting now:

If this follows the Benghazi model, IRS will fire a couple clerks.

Kind of sounds like they were focusing on both sides of the aisle:

On Jan, 25, 2012, the criteria for flagging suspect groups was changed to, "political action type organizations involved in limiting/expanding Government, educating on the Constitution and Bill of Rights, social economic reform/movement," the report says.
.

Yeah, and that "rule" translated into conservative groups only. Imagine that.
