Rumor is that D1B and JoltinJoe met for a Yankees game yesterday. No confirmation yet from either camp. Or the Vatican.

Unfortunately things didn't work out as planned. D1B got into a traffic altercation with New York's finest outside the stadium, and I spent the afternoon at the 44th precinct and then representing him in court while he was arraigned. I did get him ROR.

I knew Joe was behind my release when the judge gave me 5 hail Mary's and 10 Our Fathers in addition to a $200 fine and 10 hours community service.

Had a great time in NYC. Joltin Joe is one cool cat indeed. He took me to a Yankees game and treated me to an unbelievable Italian dinner in the Bronx where I had by far best wine and pasta I have ever had. Joe is a sharp, generous and engaging fella and gave me a fabulous tour of the Bronx and The beautiful Fordham campus.

Was a pleasure and honor to meet and spend a day with Joltin Joe!

D was hanging in the morning with the effete hoity-toities at the Upper East side art museums, but I told him to find his way to the "4" train and get himself up to the Boogie Down Bronx.

I had a plan. Once inthe Bronx, my bros from the Crips were going to waste him without a trace, and send him to the after-life that he does not believe in, in retribution for for his transgressions against the Mother of Mercy on this board.

But when I discovered that he was actually a stand-up guy, I gave the back-off sign, and we got something to eat instead. D walked the grimy, glorious streets of the Bronx like he belonged. You never would have known he was a hayseed from cow and corn country.

Joe had 2 inches of slack to work with and parked his truck in between two overpriced rice burners like a champ. Very impressive.

Loved the Bronx. My kind of town. I'm still reeling from that pasta at Roberts.
