Only because you keep trying with the same failed attempt at a joke.Gil Dobie wrote:More bombs

Terrorism, is is foreign or domestic?

The media will try to paint it as domestic, but I know better. The world hates us because of BrObama and his cowboy attitude.
We're you in Boston today, ALPACAJIZ1?ALPHAGRIZ1 wrote:Nope its BrObama and his willingness to kill brown people............brown people hate that about him/us.

You are probably right.JohnStOnge wrote:I predict an over-reaction.
There is a thread on AGS you should check out. I said the same thing there (although in less space LOL).JohnStOnge wrote:I predict an over-reaction. i was watching Bill O'Reilly interview Peter King a few minutes ago. They were talking about how people had been complaining about Police powers but now this would bring them to their senses so that they'd say "safety first." That's the way it works.
We're going to take something that killed two or three people in the context of a situation in which there is an average of something on the order of 500 deaths from injury per day in the United States and do things like...say...tell people who go to watch marathons that they can't have backpacks to carry their stuff. That's just a guess as to one aspect of the over reaction. But there will be an over reaction.
Safety first. That is the be all and end all. What a sad, sad state of affairs for a country that had its genesis in people whose priority system certainly did NOT reflect that mentality. Though the situation was flawed by the outlook that non-Whites were not fully human, the basic idea was "Liberty first." Not "safety first." And that's what the idea SHOULD be today.

Now, why hasn't Obama outlawed bombs?
It has next to nothing to do with safety and everything to do with control.JohnStOnge wrote:I predict an over-reaction. i was watching Bill O'Reilly interview Peter King a few minutes ago. If people want to break into my house, they will, but I still lock my doors.Cluck U wrote:Ban guns = more bombs.
Seriously, if people want to kill a bunch of people, they will.
I can see exploiting a safety first mentality to gain control. But I think the problem is that the People do have that "safety first" attitude. Seriously. Like how many times have you seen people respond to what goes on at airports now by saying "as long as they keep us safe?" I really do think there is a a majority of the population who can be convinced to go along with just about anything if they can be convinced that it lowers risk a little. It has next to nothing to do with safety and everything to do with control.
You should buy a gun.BlueHen86 wrote:If people want to break into my house, they will, but I still lock my doors.Cluck U wrote:Ban guns = more bombs.

An even sadder state of affairs is people listening to Peter King...and Bill O on any topic.JohnStOnge wrote:I predict an over-reaction. i was watching Bill O'Reilly interview Peter King a few minutes ago. Having met brother Wedge and the missus in person, your analysis of his politics, views, and thinking is WAY off.Cluck U wrote:Wedgebuster wrote:Delete this thread, please.
Hey, Wedgie...instead of telling people to delete this thread, why don't you just put everyone on ignore? That way you can live in your own small mind without ever having to attempt to understand another person's point of view.![]()
Can someone give a brother a quote so that the Wedgehead can get an opposing point of view (if he hasn't left to go pull his eyes out of their sockets)?
