I read that this morning. Fresh ideas are rarely a bad thing. :ohno: It's wrong when donks try to do this type of stuff as well. I'm sure my friend Ivy will defend the status quo/broken system.

Yawn.

Yeah they're little bitches for trying, but don't think for a second the Democrats would be above this if Nader actually started poaching significant votes. The two major parties are VERY provincial.

BTW.... how's the ban going?

I think some are ticked off at Senator Baucus

What he was doing in the last election was buying ads for the 3rd party candidate in the Senate race between Rehberg and Tester.

It helped Tester win. Smart move

Watch for him to do the same thing when he is up for reelection.

Baucus as I've said before was bragging about writing Obama Care and when someone asked him a question about it he said he didn't read it...he's a donkey

He needs to go...been in Washington too long

Cid's right Jon, both parties pull this BS when it suits their purposes. You don't think the Illinois Democrats have marginalized and suppressed Republican voters?

Baucus is indeed a dipshit. I'd probably vote for a tea party candidate over him.

But there's something wrong with a system that "restricts the rights of third parties" to be on the ballot. After all, political parties are really just people aren't they?

Let's see here, I wonder how you could prevent someone from giving money to a weaker primary opponent?

Republicans in Illinois have done that all on their own.

And if Dems tried to eliminate third parties, I would object as well. There are shenangians on both sides, but nothing organized on the Dem side like you have coming out of ALEC pushing voting rights restrictions championed by the Republicans nation-wide. Open your eyes to the reality that is happening today.

Almost anything was worth keeping ass wipe Dennis Rehberg out of the Senate.

WTG Max Baucus!

I don't agree with this kind of stuff either and right now I also think too many Republicans are on the defensive and rather than trying to expand their appeal they are focusing on limiting Democratic gains. Both sides are guilty to varying degrees at different points in time.

IMO, gerrymandering is voter suppression and manipulation. Democrats in Illinois have gotten so arrogant that they're not only marginalizing Republicans, they're marginalizing Democrats that don't toe the party line or aren't favorites of the ruling cabal.

I think you meant "RepubliCON." Clever.

Being as partisan as you are Jon is not a good thing. It just makes you look like the gayer version of Baldy.

Not a very accurate cheap shot, but cute nevertheless.

You're in your element, though.
