What part of "limit" did the cop not understand?

When state troopers can technically ticket you if you are even one mile per hour over the speed limit, it's absurd that you can be ticketed for going 2 under. Basically the message is that you should exceed the speed limit within the left hand lane. Hopefully that insane ticket will be dismissed.

Technically true but the reality is that people speed in the left lane and that by going under the speed limit a driver is creating an unsafe situation. If they want to drive the speed limit they should move to the right. That driver might think they are a safe driver but they're really just an anal retentive do-gooder who needs to have the corn cob removed from their rectum.

Stay right except to pass - she was either totally clueless or knew exactly what she was doing - either way she was a traffic hazard...
And yes, she'll probably beat the ticket, but only after she has to take a morning off work and go to traffic court, which is exactly what she deserves.

Good for Maryland!
These type of people create more havoc than fast drivers. At least in Arizona, the left lane is marked passing only, so if you are not passing cars, you are not supposed to be in it.

It'll most likely get dismissed for faulty equipment. She can say she had her cruise on 65, blah blah blah but to Rob's point she'll burn a morning in court or spend $500 getting an attorney to plead for her.
Damned hypermilers.

I don't know what the laws are where you guys live but all over the Mid-Atlantic states there are well-publicized laws about not driving fast enough or with the rate of traffic in the left lane. This is actually the 1st time I heard of anyone actually be ticketed for it. Hey, in East Bumblefuck, MT where no one lives anyway do what you want, but with our clogged highways around here it's a daily nuisance.

See, the cop does the right thing but then he goes and blows it by writing the ticket wrong. Never should've been written for the speed at all, but instead for the fact that she was in the left hand lane and not passing. Way too many people camp out in that left lane with no intention to pass, and this woman come up with the great comment that it was "too windy" to drive any faster or god forbid, change lanes. Great she got a ticket, but it should've been for blocking the passing lane.

This. However she technically could have been ticketed for also driving too FAST for conditions.

If it was raining or snowing, sure, but her comment was wind, and the only place in Maryland where wind is an issue driving on an interstate is on the Millard Tydings Bridge where the crosswinds can be severe, but that doesn't seem to be the case here.
Bottom line, get out of the left lane if you're not passing someone. And we should ticket this more.

The ticket was not for going 63, it was for staying in the left hand lane.
Poorly worded title, and the woman will lose her case.
She is an idiot.

They are putting up signs around here to remind people to get the fuck out of the way, too bad they don't read the signs and comprehend them. People still pull their damn boats in the car pool lane @ 60mph. I hope they really do crack down on this as it causes a lot of frustration to the drivers around them.
