These new gun restriction ideas will definitively prevent future gun killings and will stop guns from getting into the hands of criminals...ppppfffff yeah right.

And I guess that's the point to be made here - I commend Obama for wanting to do something, but at the end of the day nothing he's proposing would've stopped any of the recent gun massacres we have seen. You can argue that he needs to start small and take small steps, but I can't imagine smaller steps than what he's taken here. It seems he wanted to score the political point of saying how many different executive orders he'll sign than touch on the question whether any of those executive orders will do anything to stop events like Newtown happening again. Politics trumps reality yet again it seems.

Using those children as political props is almost as bad as killing them in a school.

Heck, Obama won't even be able to get his assault on the 2nd Amendment through the Senate despite having 55 seats, much less the House. There's at least 7 donk senators who probably won't go for it:

Meanwhile the economy has been teetering on the brink of financial collapse for years, yet the government can find ways to limit and restrict the range of the Bill of Rights across the board. The 2nd Amendment is only the next one on the list. Four years is a long time...Obama hasn't even been inaugurated yet. But people are "so happy and excited" about him being black that they're letting him get away with things that if it were anyone else there would be across the board outrage. Its the ultimate incarnation of the "Race Card", "you dont like what Obama is doing? You must be RACIST!!!" People need to open their eyes. This administration plays off people emotions way too often as a means to accomplish long held goals that those who hold power have wanted throughout history.

The previous Assault Weapons Ban was in place from 1994-2004. That didn't prevent Columbine or the North Hollywood Shootout among others did it? The AWB expired in 2004, and although there were other shootings, THIS is the event that triggered everything that's going on now...there have been other school shootings in recent years, but THIS is the one that gets the Obama administration to act, and that's because of one reason. To remove guns from the American citizen, you can plainly see that that's the endgame here. They have the political clout to do so and no one would question it. "Somebody PLEASE think of the children!". The more dependency that "We the People" have on the federal government and the more power that we give them over our lives, the less that phrase "We the People" truly means. Look at the currenr situation with the debt ceiling, the Obama administration refusing to negotiate on ANY spending cuts while vilifying the GOP as "wanting to take SSI checks from dear ol' Grandma and our military" (that second part is interesting, as if they want to gain favor with them...hmm)

See beyond what's on the surface and you allow yourself to view the world from a whole different perspective.
