I watched this documentary and it lays out the history of our deep, political polarization and makes great points and sense on how to turn it around. People like Mickey Edwards and Alan Simpson are many of the realists that speak out and show their disgust with our current political system. Satirists like Mark Twain, Stewart and Colbert Are mentioned. It is worth a view.

Cool! I will check it out. But please tell me you're not comparing Twain, Stewart, and Colbert? I mean yes, they're satirists, but Twain is in a league be himself.

I only compare the three is that they are using intelligent jokes to make a point.

You'll like the show. They are pretty even keeled and the speakers readily admit that the blame falls on everyone in COngress. They even say that Stewart and COlbert, lean to the left, are more centrist than those "entertainers" at Fox, CNN and MSNBC.

It's appalling that people take the opinions of Hannity, Olberman, Beck, Maddaw, etc... as news and facts. :ohno:
