Obviously, you did not read the entire article. I'm at work right now, but leaving in a few minutes. Gonna get home, snap one off to Internet porn, then get back to this thread.
See you soon.

I really feel for the homeless and those that are having a tough time. I've been there. I get their pain but at the same time, there are thousands of jobs available to anyone willing to work. My sisters boyfriend lives in Indianapolis, and that POS has been able to bounce from job to job for 4 years. He lives with his mom, plays World of Warcraft and as of now is an exterminator.

And I'm certain that Aaron does.
I swear he's said this me, "I'm holding out for a management position." Um...you barely graduated high school and haven't had a steady job in 4 years. I don't think you're the management type.

Therein lies the problem.

The things I get out of that article:
- way too many people have kids way too early and when they can't afford them. In a society where birth control is widely known and available, and where abortion is legal and available, it's astounding how many people end up with children they don't want and can't afford, especially across multiple marriages.
- some people are just flat out dumb. The one guy who got tired of his 5th job in a few months at construction who up and quit, and didn't know you can't collect unemployment insurance if you voluntarily leave your job - come on man.
- There does need to be more of a focus on helping people who are trying. People who go out and get a job, but a job that doesn't go as far pay-wise as it would need to, should be helped more than the guy who just doesn't want to work.

Lotta women get fucked over by guys who promise them the world then fail to deliver, after they have kids.

No doubt. I have plenty of nieces who found themselves in those positions. Parents of girls have to do more up front to keep their kids from getting pregnant so early in life, either while still in school (high school or beyond) or before they can fend for themselves. And parents of boys have to do more to instill a sense of responsibility and honor in their kids so that they don't put their partners into positions like that. It's not impossible, but people have to be taught that they don't need to end up like this. Many of the people in that story just made a whole host of bad decisions, and keep making made decisions now, to end up as they did.

And here I thought abortion and birth control access were the magic bullets that would make irresponsible people responsible.

Had I not got on where I currently am, I was packing up and working the oil fields in North Dakota. Only had one more month before I left. I will say I was fortunate to have my wife's family not only live in Williston, but right on the Montana border, so housing was not going to be an issue.
There was NO WAY IN HELL I was going to let my family down.

This why I emphasize to my girls the importance of getting a good education and a professional degree. They need to be able to look any SOB that does them wrong in the eye and say, "Fuck you! I didn't need your sorry ass anyway."

Nice!
Many women don't have people like you in their lives, nor the resources.
The face of poverty and homelessness is not a man or a man struggling to feed his family, it's a single woman with children. Many of these are victims of abuse.

Yeah. It's sad that more fathers don't teach their girls to be strong and independent.
Strong women make great mothers.

It is a shame that we don't cut off the dongs of men who have kids but do not support them.

The antipoverty system in this country is a Rube Goldberg contraption that should be rationalized across the board. The way the various guvmints hand out benefits makes no sense.

I totally agree, single moms are to blame for a LOT of the bad things in the USA right now. They raise shit*y kids, cant drive very well and have completely wrecked the NFL.
I say enough is enough.....TAKE BACK THE NIGHT!!!!

Some of you cocksucker Conks gotta go down and work a women's shelter during the holidays. Hiding behind your Escalades, Dish Network, servants and security systems too long.
