C'mon man. You know if guns were illegal that Belcher would have never done anything to his girlfriend. He wouldn't have cracked her skull with his fist, or strangled her, or stabbed her, or set the house on fire or (GASP) found an illegal gun to shoot her with. It was the legally available gun that made him want to be a murderer.

Legal guns really need to be banned. In particular, handguns, because nobody would ever shoot anyone with a long rifle or shotgun. I'm totally with Costas on this one.

Football needs to be banned too. I'm sure he probably had a concussion once. That certainly had something to do with it too.

People are blaming the murder on guns, concussions, alochol and pain killers instead of stating the obvious. Belcher is a POS who killed an innocent woman and left his 3 month old daughter without parents.

I was listening to the Ravens pre-game show yesterday on Baltimore's 98 Rock and this exact point was brought up by the local host. They had an ESPN national talking head guest on the show and the local guy says, "why is the national media not presenting this story for what it is: Belcher is a deranged murderer". The ESPN guy could not change the topic fast enough when he realized that the discussion was outside the lines of his cookie cutter agenda. He ended it by saying "hey, I'm here to talk about the Ravens, and the local guy said "that's all the time we have" and they went to commercial.

I addition Belcher chose to kill himself in front of Romeo Crennel and Scott Paoli, giving two good men lasting memories of a terrible scene. Did he really need to scar two additional people with his selfish actions?

Not to be insensitive but Costas should've dove into the rampant steroid problem Maine has had for years & if that versus guns played a bigger part....

Just because a guy (or gal) gets paid to talk in front of the camera and engage a viewership from a teleprompter - they come to believe somehow - that we actually give a fuck what they personally think
It's a hard lesson for them: We don't

And then when they're confronted with the FACT that we indeed do not want to hear their opinions
they call us stupid...

It is pretty damn interesting - for example - I enjoy Joe Buck announcing over a baseball game
He does a fine job - he's funny, he knows the game and is solid at play by play

However:
At no point do I ever want to hear him talk politics (ever)
I don't care what he thinks about that - just stick to Baseball
