It's only temporary, but the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals has blocked the unconstitutional Obamacare contraception mandate as of this morning. This is stemming from a suit filed by a Missouri business owner.

Just heard a local restaurant that's been around forever was laying off most of their staff because of the costs associated with the new healthcare law.

I wonder how wide the gap would have been had we NOT had those stupid winner-take-all rules. I can flat out guarantee you that President Obama would NOT have received all 55 (or whatever it is) electoral votes from Cali. Far from it. A bare majority at best....

He is up 5 MILLION total votes. 51-47%.

That is far from a bare majority.

He won Cali in a landslide

That ain't the whole story. Not by a long shot. That's a story of L.A. and S.F. telling the rest of the state to STFU. It's not right....

How is that not fair? Land doesn't vote. People do. More people in LA and SF. End of story.

And Romney wouldn't have gotten all of Texas' electoral votes. The overall gap would have been closer, but Obama did win the popular vote, so he likely would have won even if we didn't have winner take all in the electoral college.

Also, the campaigns would have been different. Obama and Romney would have visited states that were otherwise out of play. Although, Obama would not be allowed to visit Hawaii since it's too expensive for Air Force One and the Secret Service to travel there.

He's just pissed that the electoral college isn't gerrymandered to allow the GOP to win.

Scapegoat for the owners to cut expenses and pocket more cash. The American way....blame someone else.

It is (I think) important to re-state:
The Affordable Healthcare Act will cost some people jobs - that much I'm pretty sure of

Chizzang don't go using common sense. This is a Dem gloat thread. Is it any wonder this country is fvcked? People are going to support "their guy" even if their guy is Mao and the opponent is Hitler.

I figured a poor secretary would appreciate having access to health care. Or do you go to the VA?
