Hey we have a debt-ceiling crisis coming & a fiscal cliff, do we tax the rich? Do we cut entitlement spending? Do we put off the "draconian budget cuts"?

How about we just agree on a balanced budget, immediately?

- You don't need to raise the debt ceiling & you balance whatever spending cuts (god knows we need them) with revenue increases to make sure America doesn't spend more than it brings in. Lock Congress & Obama in a room together until they do this.

Problem solved.

Didn't we go through this "lock them up until they find a solution" mess once before with a firm deadline in place to ONLY address the debt ceiling a couple of years ago? That didn't go too well IIRC.

I love your idealism, but I have no faith that any of them are properly incented to do the right thing. They prove it over and over again, and it's both sides.

Agree 100% both parties are to blame.

Set aside the egos, and get to work!

Ban all communcation with Lobbyists until a solution is reached.

That's the only way to get anything done.

Bunch of Dems, like Iowa's dumbass Tom Harkin, are now saying no cuts to benefits. You can raise taxes all you want and it still doesn't fix the problem unless you cut spending. That dumbass is already talking about how to blame the Repubs.

Both parties suck. I decided this morning I hope we go off the cliff. Maybe a bunch of the dumbasses in DC will get killed in the riots.
