Internal emails among U.S. military officers indicate that no American sailors watched Osama bin Laden's burial at sea from the USS Carl Vinson, and traditional Islamic procedures were followed during the secret ceremony.

The emails, obtained by The Associated Press through the Freedom of Information Act, are heavily blacked out, but are the first public disclosure of government information about the al-Qaida leader's death. The emails were released Wednesday by the Defense Department.

I believe it because it describes doing something stupid like actually having "religious remarks" translated into Arabic with nobody watching and a dead guy who can't hear it and didn't deserve any respect anyway. That sounds pretty consistent with the air-headed political correctness that has gripped all aspects of our civilization including the military.

I wasn't aware that when I got my commission at OCS I went from being a sailor to being an officer.

Having been in the Navy it not only does not surprise me, but in fact I would have expected the decks to be clear when they dumped that piece of sh!t in the sea.

Too bad the CinC is a muslin or we would have had a brass band there while his bacon wrapped corpse was sodomized by strap on wielding nuns from D1B's high school.
