I guess Denny's is a douchebag company as well. Here's an idea lets boycott them too!! Then they'll have to FIRE their remaining employees who will then become dependent on government programs to survive...oh wait, that sounds exactly like what they want to happen... :coffee:

Why don't these doofuses realize that Obama and liberal career politicians know more about running a business than they do?

I'm seeing my company do this as well, but not with full timers.

We have a ton of college kids that work part-time for us but are willing to work 30-40 hours a week for the money, but they are now going to be capped at 20-25 because of the cost of having them work more.

1) Who's saying they do?

2) I'm no fan of Obamacare, but there was a time in this country when running a successful business meant taking care of your employees. :coffee:

I tend to agree to a point. I have 13 employees, we offer health insurance at a 50/50 match, 401k with matching, short and long term disability, two weeks paid vacation, two weeks paid sick leave, monthly and annual bonusing based on productivity benchmarks, and free dental care for all immediate family members. I haven't had any turnover in ten years (that i didn't want). We have a stack of resumes of people that are dying to work for us. So, you get the type of employees you deserve. My people are the best at what they do, and I treat them accordingly. They make me a ton of money. But, Places like Denny's, Papa John's, etc. are a very different story. That kind of business has always relied on the otherwise unemployable to fill their ranks.

And now, the "otherwise unemployable" think they should be treated like those golden employees we all have.

People who are acting like it's completely outrageous for them to claim that the ACA will hurt their business and are calling for boycotts of said business. It's one thing for a restaurant to take a stand on a social issue, another for them to mention things that will affect their business.

Kind of like community organizers and professional legislators know jack **** about running the executive branch of a non-profit government (or anything more complicated than a lemonade stand at the bottom of my driveway)?
