You know I once read the history of how the elephant and ass symbols came to be and I have some dim memory about some newspaper guy or something but otherwise I've forgotten and even the dim memory may be incorrect. But I'm not going to cheat and Google it.

Still, it's just SO appropriate that the symbol for the Democratic Party is indeed an ass.
