FCS Champion North Dakota State University, Runner-up Sam Houston (Texas)
FBS Champion Alabama, Runner-up LSU

My stupid brain is so stuck in the '80s that I got caught mixing up the colors associated with the two major parties, as if we were still in the '80s. GOP was blue, and Dems were red. I'm not sure when that changed, but it's driving me NUTS!

It's been changing since the late 80's but I think by 2000 the standard we now used was set.
