No kidding, that was the best part of his speech.

They both had some pretty good lines, Romney more so than Obama. And it reflects with CNN's real-time super duper live instant analysis polls showing that Romney won it 58%-42%.

Felt a little more like a roast than a speech for the most part. Who knew Romney had that in him?

That was more like a roast. I wonder which comedians wrote their material because it sure as hell wasn't written by any political speechwriter.

I've seen a few examples of candid humor from Romney- particularly during the 2008 primary season. He's a funny guy; reminds me a little of JFK in the delivery.

If there was an audio clip I would post it. They're selling one on Amazon for $0.99 for comparison.

Mitt did really well, better than Obama surprisingly. Didn't know he had it in him.

Re Alfred E. Smith, you guys have to read about him and his 1928 election run. One of the most shameful examples (of many) of Conk-fueled distortion and deceit to win an election.

Yeah, but Joe plagiarized JFK's stuff in the '88 campaign, right down to the accent and the cadence!

Anti-Catholic bigotry and general hatred towards Catholicism, religion, and its adherents wasn't and isn't just confined to 1928, that election, and Republicans. Unless somehow this message board is actually existing in 1928... :coffee:
