Yay....spend, spend, spend - it's the Dem's mantra. If we credit BHO with housing prices going up do we also blame him for gas prices?

You guys are great at blaming him for every little thing that goes wrong; not so much when it comes to giving credit when good news comes around. :coffee:

Wrong. It's the American way. Don't blame the Dems for doing the same thing the GOP does when it's in power. Both parties spend too much, the difference is what they want to spend it on.

So will it be good news come Jan 1st if Obama gets re-elected our taxes go up on:

- investment income
- estate and gift taxes
- income taxes
- child tax credit drops
- marriage penalty returns
- taxes on first $8700 of wages goes up by 50%
- payroll taxes go up to 6.2 from 4.2
- and small business owners cannot write off business equipment purchases right away

Do you fucks want a balanced budget, or not? Yeah, we need to cut spending, but it has to be a two-pronged approach.

Do you **** want a balanced budget, or not? Yeah, we need to cut spending, but it has to be a two-pronged approach.

Yes, I do.

Not all of those directly affect me but how much is enough?

The last one is what really bugs me being a small business owner. With the BS with depreciation for small business and the cluster**ck with the H2A program, it makes me pretty angry with how small business is getting squeezed.

I agree with your last statement. It's shameful that small businesses get the shaft in this country, and large corporations are treated like royalty. And it's only going to get worse thanks to Citizens United.

I admit I do not know much about Citizens United...just that they lean right and want 'limited gov'.

You could say that about way left leaning organizations also....the extreme leaning groups have too much influence.

What happened the last time a Republican was in office? That's right, they both increased spending AND reduced tax revenue. But hey, vote GOP, the Dems are making us go broke! :dunce: :dunce: :dunce:

You mo-fo are in the toilet. What property do you own? Who is paying for your health care??

I already know the answers to both those questions, but that does not preclude you from being a political expert right here on the CS politics board. :loko: :loko: :loko:

This is such good news

First lady Michelle Obama. (AP)

(CNSNews.com) – Michelle Obama, the first lady of the United States, said on Friday that the United States is in the “midst of a huge recovery” because of what “this president has done.”

Well, my property taxes have gone down due to a lower estimate of my property value by the local government. The 4 acre island with a 9000 sq ft house sold in the 3 million range to a former software company owner that soldout to VMware. The economy has turned.

Don't you work for one of the largest defense contractors in the world? Seems you have a vested interest in seeing spending stay the same or grow.

Damn near everyone is in favor of cutting spending, until they realize to what it extent it will affect them personally. :coffee:

Obama doesn't even want to get Re-Elected
I predict he has another "I don't really care" debate so he can get out of the White House
At that point we're looking at Romney getting elected and increasing the defense budget by 15%
Which is about 92,000,000,000.00
and decreasing federal income tax
Which Ryan already admitted even if the math explicitly indicates that the tax cuts cannot be paid for without raising middle class taxes — in the interview with Wallace — the Romney administration would proceed with the tax cuts anyway...

Increase defense spending
Cut taxes on the Wealthy
Bill the middle class

And they aren't even shying away from admitting this...

I work on the commercial airplane side (747, 767, 777 and 787) and we have orders out our ass for the next 10 years, but I get what you are saying. I am talking about more than just defense cuts. I am thinking entitlements and pensions.
