He's definitely a piece of work but I'm surprised they had enough evidence to convict. A lot of hearsay and near-mistrials. It will be interesting to see if this one holds up.

The guy's a POS and I am pretty sure he's guilty, but guilty verdicts without a body are very difficult to hold up absent a confession. Will be interesting to see how this goes on appeal.

They have a body for this one, he was convicted in the death of his 3rd wife who was found dead in a dry bath tub. It was originally ruled an accidental drowning but they reopened it when his 4th wife went missing. He is a POS and I'm pretty sure he's guilty too but it is a little scary what they were able to convict him with.

So he was convicted for the death of the 3rd wife? I thought it was the most recent one. If it was the most recent one that would really concern me.

It was the third one so they had a body that had been buried for years. Definitely suspicious circumstance but I'm not sure there was enough there to call it beyond a reasonable doubt. Peterson is a sneaky POS who knew how to cover his tracks so the Illinois legislature passed a law allowing some hearsay evidence and the prosecution used it to their advantage. It's a little scary that someone can say so-and-so told me this before they died and the defense has no opportunity to cross-exam.
