Encouraging sign for Arizona - at least seven of the craziest GOP lawmakers lost in the primary last night - including one Congressional Candidate that Sarah Palin campaigned Monday for!!!

The Pearce brothers, Lori Klein, Ron Gould, Kirk Adams, Ben Quayle, and Wil Cardon were high-profile tea party extremists - all lost to sane GOP'ers last night.

Hopefully, the start of the end for the wacko branch of the GOP in Arizona.

I'm surprised that you think David Schweikert and Jeff Flake are sane, Jon. Or are they just sane compared to the others.

I'm surprised that you think David Schweikert and Jeff Flake are sane, Jon. Or are they just sane compared to the others.

Flake and Schweikart, while I disagree with a lot of their views, actually show signs of reason and intellectual ability.

Just like I was very happy Gosar beat Gould, Salmon beat Adams, etc - I may not align with their views, but at least I have some faith in their thought process.

I just googled it...got the wrong answer. How does THAT work? I thought Google was perfect?

I didn't vote yesterday....but am glad Schweikert won. He's a much better alternative than Quayle.

Under old districting you were CD3. As of this election, you are CD6

And yes, Schweikert is much, much better than Quayle
