The man trying to provide Rep. Todd Akin the softest possible landing after the congressman’s foolish comments about pregnancy and rape was former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, a strong supporter of Akin during his run to represent Missouri in the U.S. Senate.
In the furor over Akin’s remarks and increasing pressure for him to drop out of his race against Sen. Claire McCaskill, Huckabee used his syndicated radio program Monday to give the embattled candidate a safe venue to express remorse and his determination to remain in the race. Huckabee also took the opportunity to cast the best possible light on Akin’s awkward position. The former Arkansas governor and onetime GOP presidential contender suggested a couple of cases in which he suggested that rapes, though “horrible tragedies,” had produced admirable human beings.

Not sure how any thinking woman could vote for Republicans like Huckabee, Akin and Ryan - all are truly clueless, misogynists stuck in a 19th century view of women.

Conks, by definition, only vote for Conks. Donks, by definition, only vote for Donks. Neither group, by definition, gives a **** about anything else but the party affiliation. That's why whackos like Akin, and people of similar unworthiness on the left, get elected to office. Damn Conks and Donks.

Hey, just because you don't think women belong in the bedroom doesn't mean you should spoil it for the rest of us.

Admit it though - you want him to stay in the race...

Donks want him in the race for the same reason that conks want him out - he's a liability to the GOP.

Trainwrecks are always fun
Honestly mixed opinion - yes, Akin makes it easier for Dems to retain seat, maybe even for Obama to win Missouri.
On the other hand, I shudder to think of what the Senate would be like if he actually won, and if a Conk is going to win the seat, much rather have a somewhat sane one in there.

The reality is that there are a number of people walking around who were conceived via rape. Here's a story on one example:
http://www.lifesitenews.com/news/martin ... -anti-abo/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.
Here is the problem: Once genetic recombination is complete, a new member of our species has come into existence. We are no longer in the realm of preventing that existence. The animal exists. It is alive. Our culture likes to deny that truth and act as though abortion is preventing a life from starting. But the objective reality is that it ends a life that has already started. Or more than one in the case of multiple pregnancies.
Sometimes there are conflicts between rights and we have to choose. And I don't see how any right can trump the right to life.
