Augusta National adds first 2 female members
" NEW YORK (AP) -- For the first time in its 80-year history, Augusta National Golf Club has female members.
The home of the Masters, under increasing criticism the last decade because of its all-male membership, invited former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and South Carolina financier Darla Moore to become the first women in green jackets when the club opens for a new season in October.
Both women accepted."
I say it's about time, but the stupid troll Martha Burk thinks it would have never happened if it weren't for her "protest" 10+ years ago.

They may have invited women to join Augusta National, but they didn't invite "liberal" women to join.

Dayum, I agree. I would no want to see my Fraternity made to allow women to become members.

Being "progressive" would mean taking Augusta National to court and using the police powers of the government to get my way.
I would rather eat a bullet than be a spineless, mouth breathing, easily offended, crybaby, booger eating "progressive".

That's a bit different, I think. Besides, it is their decision. Who cares.

They don't, and there are many still around and always will be. Augusta chose to buckle under the pressure.

Yeah boy, that "protest" with literally 10's (more like 10) of people held 10 years ago was the difference maker.

Yeah, I'm sure that's why we're all familiar with the pressure I'm talking about, because of one small protest only you remember. Must have really pissed you off, huh, Baldy?

Well Einstein, since I only live a couple of hours from Augusta National, I have family who live in Augusta, and my wife's ex is a member of Augusta National, I tend to pay a little more attention to these things. Not to mention it was also referenced in the article.
Needless to say, I was soooo pissed off that I went and punched the first dyke with a buzzcut I saw on the street that day.
