Study: More immigrants are Asian than Hispanic

The immigration debate often centers on stemming the flow of people entering the United States illegally and what to do about securing borders to the south. But here's a fact that goes without much attention: Asians have now taken over Latinos as the largest group of new arrivals every year.
In 2010, 36% of new immigrants were Asians compared to 31% for Hispanics, according to a report released Tuesday by the Pew Research Center.
That's a significant change from a decade ago, when 19% of immigrants were Asians and 59% were Hispanics
With so many Asian coming over, what do you think this means for our science and research communities?
Can we get some of these relocated to Alabama to get thier education numbers up?
Does this mean traffic is going to increasingly be a nusiance with 25 people doing 45 in the left lane with thier RIght turn signal on?
Are the Chinese preparing for an invasion, as they will walk amongst us?

Priority #1 should be to make it easier for the ones who earn advanced degrees to stay here after graduation.

That should be the case, regardless if the person is an immigrant or natural born citizen.

Boy this is a tough one, but my nod has to go to the hispanics. I like how smart the asians are, but the hispanic chicks are hotter.

Yes I heard that today and I think it's a good news. What you're talking about is mostly highly skilled, highly intelligent people who are engaged in LEGAL immigration to our country so that we don't have to worry...for instance...about them carrying diseases into a relatively naive population. They will not "dumb down" our population. They are an asset.

I'm with JSO on this. Asian immigrants assimilate and become Americans. They don't have axes to grind and they do not look to the tit as their source of sustenance.
